2014 American Indian Youth Literature Awards announced

Congratulations to author Joseph Bruchac for winning the Best Young Adult Novel category with Killer of Enemies! We’re so proud.

Congratulations also to Tim Tingle, winner of Best Middle School Novel, and Tomson Highway and John Rombough, author and illustrator of the Best Picture Book. Honor Winners were YA author Eric Gansworth and MG author Tim Tingle.

Congratulations as well to Lee & Low's Parrots over Puerto Rico, written by Susan L. Roth and Cindy Trumbore, and illustrated by Susan L. Roth, which won the Robert F. Sibert Informational Book Award for most distinguished informational book for children.

And of course, congratulations to ALL the winners and honor recipients of today’s ALA Youth Media Awards! We’re happy to know you and read your wonderful books.
